Bergamo is a city with a distinct dual personality. The Città Alta, the upper town, sits on the hills and retains its medieval character, while the Città Bassa or the lower town, is modern and bustling. The Venetian walls, a UNESCO World Heritage site, encircle the Città Alta, offering stunning views of the surrounding Lombardy plains and distant Alps. Within the walls, visitors can explore historic landmarks like Piazza Vecchia, with its impressive Palazzo della Ragione and Duomo. Bergamo Airport:

Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY) is located 3.7 km southeast of Bergamo. Car rental at Bergamo Airport is convenient, with rental offices located within the terminal building. Major car rental companies such as Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Enterprise (Locauto), and Sixt have desks situated in the Arrivals Area of the terminal.
