For high-end business travel or trips to special occasions in San Francisco, the BMW 7 Series offers a spacious, refined cabin. Five seats and a generous trunk suit longer corporate trips and special occasions alike. It is also well suited to longer trips around the Bay Area.

Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is a 1.7-mile suspension bridge connecting San Francisco to Marin County and is among the most recognized structures in the world. Pedestrians use the east sidewalk, which offers views across the bay, the Pacific headlands and the city skyline. Drivers should note that a toll applies when traveling southbound into San Francisco.

Nob Hill

Nob Hill is one of San Francisco's original wealthy residential districts, home to the Fairmont and Mark Hopkins hotels and Grace Cathedral. Cable car lines on Powell and California streets run directly through the neighborhood.

Hakone Estate and Gardens

Hakone Estate and Gardens sits in the hills above Saratoga and is one of the oldest residential-style Japanese gardens open to the public in the Western Hemisphere. A bamboo garden, a tea garden and a dry garden are among the features of the approximately 18-acre estate, first established in 1915. The historic garden occupies a steep hillside, with stone steps and uneven gravel paths in some areas.

Route 29 runs north through the valley floor past Yountville, Oakville and Rutherford toward Calistoga, with vineyards planted close to the road. The Silverado Trail offers a less-traveled parallel route along the valley's eastern side, with views across vineyards along parts of the road. The trip from San Francisco is best planned as a full-day trip.
